Jeffrey Petty, DPM

Dr. Jeff Petty was born in Canton, Ohio across the street from the Pro Football Hall of Fame. He graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-med. Following College, Dr. Petty attended Kent State College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. After receiving his doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine, he completed his residency in Texas. Upon residency completion in 1998, he opened a private practice in Corsicana, TX. Dr. Petty is currently on staff at Navarro Regional Hospital. Dr. Petty is Board-Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Petty currently serves on the TPMA Peer Review Committee and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Petty lives in Corsicana and is married to Deborah with two children, Derek and Samantha. He enjoys spending time with his family, swimming and fishing.

Fernando Cruz, DPM

Dr. Fernando Cruz was born in Manhattan, NY, and raised in Lexington Park, MD. His love for football during high school led him to Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine and Health Science. Following college, Dr. Cruz attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where he won “Student of the Year” in his final year of school. After receiving his doctorate degree in Podiatric Medicine, he completed his Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgical residency at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, OH. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Cruz joined Family Foot & Ankle Centers in Waxahachie, Ennis, and Corsicana. Dr. Cruz is on staff at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Ennis Regional Hospital and Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia. Dr. Cruz is Board-Qualified by the American Boards of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also a member of both the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He loves all sports, especially football, and is a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Amanda, and dog, Theo, as well as watching new movies.

Silpa Joy, DPM

Dr. Silpa Joy grew up in sunny California. She graduated from California State University, Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry (Magna Cum Laude). She then attended the California School of Podiatric Medicine and completed her surgical residency in foot and ankle surgery at the Veteran Hospital, San Francisco where she served as the Chief resident her final year. During her residency training, she also underwent extensive training in the treatment and prevention of podiatric complications in diabetic patients at University of California, San Francisco. Upon completion, she moved to Dallas, Texas with her husband and joined the Family Foot & Ankle Centers group. Dr. Joy is dual board qualified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Having trained in the San Francisco Bay Area, she is well accustomed to the diverse pathology and patient population. Her treatment goal is to return patients back to their normal activities as quickly and safely

Deborah

Deborah co-founded Corsicana Foot & Ankle with Dr. Petty in 1999. The name was later changed to Family Foot & Ankle Centers when more locations were added. She is a certified podiatric medical assistant, a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management and is certified as a licensed Podiatric Medical Radiologic technician. Deborah and Dr. Petty have two children – Derek and Samantha. Deborah enjoys watching movies, spending time outdoors, and being with her family.

Blanca

Blanca assists Dr. Petty in office procedures and all aspects of patient care. She is certified as a licensed Podiatric Medical Radiologic Technician joined our practice in 2013. Her goal is to provide the best for her patients. Blanca and Omar have been married for 19 years and have three children (Jordan 18, Kate 15, and Romeo 4) who are very active in tennis and soccer. Her time is spent going to sporting events and time with family.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a clinical medical assistant at the Waxahachie, Ennis, and Corsicana locations of Family Foot & Ankle Centers. She is also certified as a licensed Podiatric Medical Radiologic Technician and can also be seen helping out at the welcome desk. Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband, Abraham, and her daughters. They enjoy going out to dinner, watching movies, and caring for their animals.

Erika

Erika is the friendly and receptive face seen by all of the patients coming into the Ennis location of Family Foot & Ankle Centers. She has brightened the front office with her smile and friendly manner for several years. She is a Certified Medical Assistant and worked in the Medical Field for the past 11 years. You will see Erika in all 4 of our locations- Ennis, Waxahachie, Corsicana, and Ennis! She enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Josh, and their three children.

Krystal

Krystal is the smiling, friendly, efficient receptionist at the Corsicana location of Family Foot & Ankle Centers. She has worked with Dr. Petty and his Podiatrist associates for over a decade. Krystal is the proud mother of 4 children (2 boys and 2 girls) and enjoys spending time with her husband, Rene, attending her children’s activities, and cooking for her family and friends.

Carmela

Carmela assists in office procedures and all aspects of patient care. She is certified as a licensed Podiatric Medical Radiologic Technician. After originally training at Family Foot & Ankle Centers in 2009, she then worked with Dr. Walker, DPM for several years and then joined our practice in 2016. Her goal is to provide the best possible care for her patients and she has a passion for helping others. Carmela works primarily in the Ennis location but can also be seen at the other locations.

Angela

Angela works primarily at the Corsicana location of Family Foot & Ankle Centers. Angela is the master of all trades and works as a medical assistant as well as handling the majority of the insurance department duties. She is also certified as a licensed Podiatric Medical Radiologic Technician. In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, Aaron, and spending as much time outdoors with her family as possible.

Audrey

Audrey is involved in many functions at Family Foot & Ankle Centers. She has worked in the medical field for the last 15 years. Audrey assists the doctors in surgical procedures and always welcomes patients with a smile. She was born and raised in Ennis, TX, where she raised her three children. Time spent with her husband, Chris, and her family is very important to her. She works in both the Corsicana office and Ennis office.
